Platform Role
SeeImpact is a marketplace that connects donors with verified nonprofit organizations. We facilitate the connection but do not hold or transmit donations ourselves. All payments are processed directly through Stripe Connect.
Donations
Donations made through SeeImpact are directed to the nonprofit organization's Stripe account. SeeImpact does not guarantee that funds will be used for any specific purpose. Each nonprofit is independently responsible for how they use donations.
Refund Policy
Donation refunds are handled by the receiving nonprofit organization through their Stripe account. SeeImpact can assist in facilitating communication between donors and nonprofits regarding refund requests.
Nonprofit Responsibilities
Nonprofits on SeeImpact agree to: maintain accurate organization information, use donations as described in their project campaigns, post regular updates on funded projects, and comply with all applicable tax and charity regulations.
User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Donor accounts are managed through Clerk authentication. Nonprofit accounts require organizational verification before activation.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the platform, submit false information, attempt to circumvent payment processing, or engage in any fraudulent activity. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Tax Information
Donations to verified 501(c)(3) organizations may be tax-deductible. Stripe provides automatic donation receipts. SeeImpact does not provide tax advice. Consult a tax professional for guidance.
Limitation of Liability
SeeImpact is provided as-is. We are not liable for the actions of nonprofit organizations, payment processing failures handled by Stripe, or any indirect damages arising from use of the platform.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of SeeImpact after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
